The winged sun (Behedeti)

The winged sun (sometimes known as Behedeti) is one of the most widespread ancient symbols that is still in use today, it is found throughout Egypt. It is associated with divinity, royalty and power and it is found throughout Egypt, Mesopotamia, Anatolia, and Persia. this symbol consists of a circle or solar-type disk enclosed by a pair of wings. In ritual magic it is suspended over the alter in an easterly direction and used when invoking the protection and co-operation of the sylphs. In ancient Egyptian symbology wings signify ascension. Even before Egyptian civilization, the sun disk appeared in the literature of ancient Sumer, which was the first known civilization. In early Egyptian religion, this symbol  represented Horus, later identified with Ra. Variations of this symbol are used as a trademark logo on vehicles produced by the Chrysler, and Harley Davidson.
