The term estoile refers to wavy sided stars, instead of straight like those of a mullet. They usually of six points, though they may also be blazoned with a different number of points. When it has more than six points they are either all waved or more usually alternately waved and straight.
Estoile of eight points is a a star which has four straight and four wavy rays.
